What to Expect

Our course combines psychological expertise and real-world aviation training, delivering a comprehensive approach to managing your fear of flying.

  • Understanding Fear & Anxiety:
    Explore the science behind anxiety and how it impacts your mind and body during flights.
  • Flight Simulator Exercise:
    Step into a professional flight simulator, guided by experienced airline pilots, to familiarise yourself with what happens behind the scenes. This immersive experience is designed to reduce the unknowns that often cause anxiety.
  • Personalised Support & Coaching:
    With support from experienced anxiety relief coaches, including our partner Anxiety Project, you will learn powerful techniques to manage stress, eradicate fear and stay calm during your flight.

Meet the Team:

Ben Tams

Ben is a dedicated recovery coach with over six years of experience helping clients overcome anxiety, OCD, PTSD and other phobias. Through 1:1 and group sessions, he supports individuals on their journey to resilience and peace. Alongside his coaching, Ben also consults for the University of Oxford, where he manages complex research projects, including post-conflict healthcare. In 2018, he received the university’s Award for Excellence, recognising his impactful work.

Rachel Wood RGN MSc

Rachel, a critical care nurse by background, is an experienced and accomplished educational programme developer and facilitator. Rachel’s facilitation style is founded in principles of compassionate leadership. Rachel is an anxiety relief coach and has successfully coached clients from a place of severe and debilitating anxiety to a much more comfortable life where they are well on the way to becoming completely anxious free. Rachel is passionate about the importance of balance in an individual’s life both at work and home.

Will Wright MSc

As an experienced airline pilot, Will has a passion for human performance. Rooted in human factors, he is particularly focussed on how self-confidence impacts safety and efficiency within flight operations. Alongside his aviation career, he supports the next generation of pilots through training essential skills & competencies, highlighting the importance of mentoring & networking, and promoting diversity & inclusion. He also works closely with The Honourable Company of Air Pilots, chairing and participating in various working groups.

Course Highlights

Led by an experienced airline pilot and a certified anxiety coach, our programme combines the technical side of flying with practical, science-backed methods to reduce anxiety.

You will participate in a flight simulator session that replicates a real cockpit experience. Here, you’ll learn how pilots manage every aspect of the flight, helping demystify common fears like turbulence, engine sounds, takeoffs and landings.

Learn how to rewire your brain and change the way you respond to fear. This unique aspect of the course teaches you practical skills for long-term relief from anxiety.

Our intimate group sizes ensure a comfortable, safe and supportive environment where you can receive individual attention.

Central Location

Conveniently located in West London, our state-of-the-art training facility provides the ideal setting for both learning and relaxation. The course takes place in our comfortable lounge and advanced flight simulator.

1-Day Course

Our full-day intensive programme is designed to address fear of flying from both a psychological and technical perspective. The day includes anxiety management activities, interactive discussions and a hands-on flight simulator experience.

Follow-Up Sessions

If you’re looking for continued support, we offer follow-up sessions to reinforce what you’ve learned. These additional 1:1 coaching sessions are tailored to your needs and allow you to practise further in the flight simulator at your own pace.
